Welcome to Jane’s House

We’re a newly formed 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to opening what we like to call “A healing place to call home”. Jane’s House will serve not just the women in need of a sober, safe, educational and healing place to call home, but also intends to help them heal relationships with their children and family members that were damaged during active addiction. We want to break the vicious cycle of addiction that is devastating so many families.

Nationwide- more than 37 million people suffer from a substance use disorder and there are over 107,ooo+ deaths every year from drug overdose. In Illinois, the rate of drug overdoses continue to increase by 8% annually, and our overdose rate here in Illinois is almost 6% higher than the national average. According to published statistics, the children of those who suffer from substance use disorder are 8X more likely to also suffer from a substance use disorder, than those children whose parents do not.

We know that we can make a difference in our community, but we cannot achieve our goals without your support!

Meet Jane

Jane is the inspiration behind Jane’s House. She was kindhearted and loving. She also struggled with substance use disorder for many years. Her addictions eventually severed her relationships with family and left her unhoused. Jane’s House was born out of these struggles. Founded by her daughters, and with your help, Jane’s House will be everything that Jane needed – but never found. Jane’s House is for the many women that are a lot like Jane, and we want to be their healing place to call home.
